Ready for Christmas???

In case anyone is wondering, or feeling left out- we have decided not to do christmas cards this year. And honestly, it has been GREAT! I really recommend it! Saves money, time and it's a lot less stressful. And most of the people that I would send christmas cards to either read this blog or are friends with us on facebook. So really almost everyone gets regular updates and pictures of our family. (with the exception of Grandma's) So I feel like if I sent out an update of our year and some pictures it would be old news that everyone has already seen. And I'm doing my part to save a couple trees- so I feel good about that

And here are a few of the latest pictures this christmas season. This was before church, with their new clothes.

Ethan wouldn't put down the bubble wrap- I don't even know why we had bubble wrap out???

Ethan still has this scab on his forehead- he's had it for over a month- and he won't stop picking at it. We don't know what to do about it. But despite the scab, he still looked handsome in his church clothes

Merry Christmas!!!

Santa Claus is coming to town

Haylee talked gerrit into putting up the tree last weekend- so she helped him set it up. Or at least she was pretending to help- which is more than I do sometimes :)

Decorating the tree- all by herself- and her controlling mother hasn't rearranged it yet... yeah for the mother!
I had haylee practice her smiles for me (I know...what an anal mom) but we practice because she only has this one cheesy smile lately

Ethan says "cheese" and gives me a good smile- until he see Santa

Ethan was not really liking Santa

If I don't send out Christmas cards this year- you'll know why

Santa asked her what she wanted for Christmas

Ethan was telling her to come on- we're all done. Let's go

She really was trying hard to think of anything that she wanted for christmas. She wasn't going to leave until she thought of something. This was her ONE chance

Saying goodbye to santa- I think she was trying to stay on the good list.

Ethan loved this little reindeer- he stood there and waved at it, saying goodbye to it. That is until I got out my camera to take a picture of him doing that.
For the last couple weeks I've asked Haylee what she wants for Christmas- and she hasn't thought of anything. Except last night she said she would like a ginger bread man. Really?? A gingerbread man? What's that about? So I said- ok, is there anything else you would like, something not weird??? And she said, "maybe I'll ask for a new momma." (be careful kid- you may get your wish)
