We're so outdoorsy- we decided to hike

Ok, I finally am getting around to updating my blog- and it won't let me rearrange pictures now. So nothing is in order- sorry for the confusion.
Anyway- in July we decided to go hiking- don't ask me why, but we all thought it would be a good idea. Or something like that. Ok, it was a good idea, and it wasn't too bad. But we didn't get to go too far in the canyon as the boys would have liked, but we went far enough to make it an adventure. But anytime the 9 of us try to do something or go somewhere together, it is an adventure.
Remember these pictures aren't in order...
This part of the hike was straight down the side of the canyon- so we made an assembly line of big kids, and adults and handed my kids down the line- which was a little scary to watch them go and hope they just stand there at the bottom and wait for us...aaaa
Ethan was held the ENTIRE time going into the canyon- but when we stopped for a break he finally got adventurous and wanted to move around on his own. And I would have let him if we weren't surrounded by water and at the top of tall rocks

This is coming down to the cars- at the end. We came back out another way (as you will see in another picture somewhere farther down) and it was pretty steep down- so colby went up and down probably 4 times to get people and help them down the hill. This is him holding Haylee on the way down
Colby trying to cliff jump... not quite the same as the Indian boys in new moon. The water only went to his ankles

Lacy didn't want to get her feet wet crossing the stream, so colby gave her a piggy back across

Our little family- having such a good time

The girls decided to take the stream back down instead of the trail

there's a tiny little waterfall behind us- you can't see it, but trust me

This is when we were considering which way to get back to the cars- we went back a different way- and it was HOT HOT HOT on the side of this mountain- it made me want to sing "3 sharp tooth buzzards" because I was sure they were going to start flying around us soon
