We went to the zoo for Ethan birthday- since he was still young enough to be free- Haylee had a free pass to get in, and it was half price admission for adults day. Cheapest zoo day ever! But it was a nice day- not too hot, and Gerrit had it off, so it was just the 4 of us. And the zoo isn't that big so you're done in an hour or two. It's perfect for little kids walking around.
Here's Haylee helping Ethan look into an exhibit. She felt bad he couldn't see the birds, so she lifted him up to see. She's such a good big sister to him.

The giraffe exhibit opened up about a year or so ago- so we haven't seen it much - it was quite educational this time. We all learned that when two giraffe's love each other very much; one puts his legs on the back of the other and they dance (we saw it with our own eyes- and in Haylee's words that's what happened) let me tell you- that cleared everyone out of the area pretty fast.

Haylee showing goo goo the penguins- they were trying to see which one was the fastest.
Haylee feeding the goats. Ethan thought he wanted to feed them until he learned that they would touch him if he did

Haylee showing her monkey impressions

Ethan liked this big snake! He wanted it touch it. Haha- yeah right

You can't go to the boise zoo without going down the giraffe slide. Until recently this was the only giraffe in the whole zoo.

Dancing, eh? I really can't imagine seeing that. I'm so glad you had such a great educational experience. :)
